JUNIOR INVESTOR RELATIONS SPECIALIST – Private Markets (12 months FTC)

THE JOB
Our client, an Asset Management company, is looking for an Investor Relations Specialist to support their  fundraising efforts and investor relations services associated with their range of private asset solutions.
The Investor Relations (“IR”) team is part of the Institutional & Wholesale Distribution (I&WD) division. The IR team add value by supporting the marketing, fundraising and servicing investors for the private market strategies in close collaboration with the investment teams, the sales force spread across 18 local offices and the Investment team.
 
 
You will integrate a motivated and multinational team to coordinate or contribute to a variety of IR tasks partnering with key internal and external stakeholders to provide value-add and be relevant to our clients:
 
Client servicing & communication
Act as the “control tower” to ensure that all sales queries and issues are properly and timely addressed by the organization. As such, the role is 360° and includes exposure to a range of topics from operational issues to marketing, product, reporting-related questions in close collaboration with and supporting the senior members of the team. This includes servicing clients and supporting the fundraising effort throughout the lifecycle of a product:

  • Support and coordinate the organization of various client meetings, booking portfolio managers and planning roadshows in advance for instance,
  • Coordinate Investors updates on products or the annual investor meeting
  • Trouble shoot client issues with relevant stakeholders incl. operations, external service providers, product specialists, reporting team, etc.
  • Acting as back up to product specialists for various product related tasks such as updates of product material or assistance on requests for proposal

Sales support

  • Part of your job is to ensure that the sales teams are well equipped and supported when they go and meet clients. This includes for instance ensuring adequate and timely sales communication linked to our private market solutions (e.g. prospectus changes) or the organization of training sessions

Investor onboarding & communication

  • Secure a smooth investor onboarding experience, acting as an intermediary with the sales teams, the investors and the central administrator
  • Ensure timely responses to investors’ queries by liaising with the relevant stakeholders
  • Support appropriate investor communication and support review of the fund documentation or reporting

THE CANDIDATE

  • A university degree (not limited to administration, business or finance)
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position in the financial industry with e.g. an asset manager, a central administrator or similar organisation
  • Have a good knowledge of the mutual fund value chain and product types – private markets knowledge is considered as an asset
  • Be motivated, hard worker, focused and resistant to stress
  • Be enthusiastic, well organized, open to learn and with attention to details
  • Be a team-oriented and determined person who wants to grow and make the others grow
  • Be able to handle stakeholders with different backgrounds and sensitivities as well as committed to building trust and long-term relationships that are at the heart of our business strategy;
  • Strong interest and curiosity in the private markets industry
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in any other major European language considered as an asset
  • Eligible to work in the EU.

Our client is a reputable Asset Management company.
