DO Recruitment Advisors is recruiting a Senior Officer, within Depositary Services to oversee a portfolio of clients, supervise junior team members and assist other team members in executing their role. The depositary team supervises the Alternative Investment Funds and the Fund managers in accordance with the AIFM Directive. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the management of a portfolio of depositary clients – primarily private equity, real estate, infrastructure, and debt Funds.
·Perform operational analysis of complex investments structures and ultimately coordinate and validate all work delivered by the team ensuring operational work is performed in accordance with internal procedures.
·As the central point of contact for your clients, capable of identifying and anticipating possible problem areas, you will be able to accurately measure potential risks, and to offer suitable solutions to the client and satisfy their overall needs.
·Monitor the cash monitoring performed by the Depositary administrator, as well as assisting with differences and anomalies escalated by Depositary administrator, and where necessary, discuss with the client;
·Perform safekeeping duties to review, analyse, verify and document the assets that are owned by the Alternative Investment Fund;
·Keep oversight on all the Fund’s activities to analyse, verify and document whether capital calls, contributions, redemptions, investments, divestments, sales, and share purchases are compliant with the law and the rules & procedures as set forth in the Fund’s terms and conditions, prospectus and management, shareholder and/or limited partnership agreements.
·Generate all reports to present to the client and Fund manager in accordance with the service level agreement;
·Ensure any new business is taken on in an efficient and timely manner in accordance with the company’s procedures, and set up any new spreadsheets and reports that may be required;
·Assist with new business enquiries and if necessary, prepare presentations and other useful material for the business development team.
·University or professional degree Business, Economics, Finance or Law;
·5-10 years of relevant experience in the Fund industry; experience in a depositary service, Fund management will be considered as an asset;
·Solid understanding of the regulatory regimes applicable to both traditional and Alternative Investment Funds, in Luxembourg and preferably any other EU locations;
·Expertise in dealing with complex client matters, engaging client and their delegates, building solid relationships and maintaining business;
·Excellent understanding of Fund Oversight and Operational (Depositary) processes;
·Strong analytical and synthesis skills including the ability to convey complex issues in an effective manner to executive-level manager;
·Pro-active and solution oriented, hardworking and able to prioritize effectively;
·Ability to work independently;
·Team spirit, the capacity to build strong client relationships and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate;
·Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
·Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Other languages are advantageous;
·Good training skills and the ability
