IN HOUSE LEGAL COUNSEL -1 YEAR FIXED-TERM CONTRACT (m/f)
Do Recruitment Advisors is pleased to represent an international investment company with investments in real estate, infrastructure and private equity in its search for a legal adviser to cover a maternity leave.
THE ROLE:
You will be responsible for providing legal advice to the Company and its Luxembourg and foreign subsidiaries with respect to minimizing the company’s exposure to legal and regulatory risks whilst maximizing the risk adjusted return on the company’s investments
Responsibilities:
– Provide legal advice in relation to (i) day-to-day operations of the Group, (ii) its compliance with applicable laws and regulations, (iii) investment transactions of the Group and their coordination and execution focusing on transactions related to real estate, infrastructure and private equity investments.
– Ensuring that investment, disposition and financing transactions are closed in accordance with internal approval of the Company/the Group in line with Group’ guidelines.
– Review and negotiation of all contractual agreements entered into by the Company.
– Establish and implement efficient legal policies and procedures to mitigate legal risk.
– Perform legal research, monitor amendments to laws and regulations, and advise on their implications on the Group.
– Draft and maintain corporate template documents for the Group, develop know-how and monitor legal and regulatory developments in the corporate M&A in the different asset classes.
– Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.
THE CANDIDAT PROFILE:
– Law degree.
– Between 2 and 5 years post-qualified experience in the corporate/commercial practice of a law firm or alternative investment industry with international exposure.
– Fluency in English.
THE CLIENT:
Our client is an international investment company with about 50 employees based in Luxembourg.
At the final stages of the recruitment process, the successful candidate can be asked to provide supporting documentation such as, for example, copies of diplomas or proof of previous jobs, and a standard criminal record check might also be requested.
