RISK MANAGER (M/F)
DO Recruitment Advisors is delighted to recruit on behalf of an European-based AIFM, a Risk Manager (m/f). The AIFM is currently managing Private Equity and Private Debt strategies. The office is composed of 10 people and will continue to grow.
THE JOB
- Perform initial and regular risk assessments for the transaction and overall risk assessments (ex-ante) for the AIFs.
- Prepare reports to the senior management, investment committee and Board of Directors of the AIFM and to the regulator. Identify potential or actual breaches of the risk limits and compliance of the funds with the risk limit.
- Support the monitoring of investment compliance of the funds under management;
- Follow up on operational risk events for the AIFs.
- Co-ordinate exchange of information between the administrators, delegated portfolio managers, investment advisors, depositaries, etc.;
- Assist in the analysis and implementation of regulatory changes (CSSF Circulars, AIFMD, ESMA guidelines) and support the Conducting Officer in his daily work.
THE CANDIDATE
- Academic degree in finance, economics, mathematics or equivalent
- Professional qualifications (CAIA, CFA, FRM) would be considered an advantage;
- 2 to 5 years of related experience in Luxembourg fund services industry in risk management. Debt Funds/Private Equity and Luxembourg fund familiarities are required;
- Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English, good command of German or French would be an asset;
- Able to work independently with strong organisation skills;
- Knowledgeable of risks related to financial instruments, financial mathematics, statistics and modelling techniques;
- Analytical mindset, logical thinking and ability to understand technical subjects;
- Good level in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access) and Bloomberg.
THE CLIENT
Our client is an internal AIFM.
At the final stages of the recruitment process, the successful candidate can be asked to provide supporting documentation such as, for example, copies of diplomas or proof of previous jobs, and a standard criminal record check might also be requested.
