LEGAL MANAGER – 3 MONTHS’ CONTRACT (M/F)


THE ROLE:
DO Recruitment Advisors is recruiting on behalf of a highly renowned UK financial services group a Legal manager to cover a specific assignment. That expert in law will be responsible for the monitoring of all legal and regulatory requirements relevant for our Luxembourg client and its operations in Luxembourg, Germany, Austria and Italy.
You will take ownership for the knowledge management and provide training to colleagues and suppliers on relevant topics. You will be performing research and providing legal advice to the senior management and internal stakeholders. You will work in collaboration with business colleagues across the various business areas of the Insurance, Pensions and Investments business unit and Group functions and with other Legal, Corporate Secretariat and Compliance Teams.
You will also provide professional governance advice and assistance to the Company Secretary, the Management Committee and the Board of Directors of the company.

THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
-Qualified lawyer in the EU,
-At least 10 years of experience as a practising or in-house lawyer in Luxembourg, to include experience in Luxembourg company and insurance laws,
-Multi-jurisdictional experience,
-Passionate about laws and their evolution,
-Outstanding organizational and excellent communication skills,
-Sound understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements in Luxembourg and other EU jurisdictions, with knowledge of the Luxembourg AML/CTF framework and of the EU General Data Protection Regulation being preferable,
-Experience in legal and regulatory monitoring,
-Proficient in French and English, German or Italian would be a plus,
-Excellent drafting skills, experience in minute taking, attention to details and quality,
-Excellent time management and prioritizing skills required to address a large number of requests within set deadlines,
-Good command of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.) and Adobe, experience of electronic board packs (Board Intelligence),
-Able to demonstrate key behavioural capabilities including ownership, proactivity, teamwork, agility.
