PROPERTY ACCOUNTING – SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/MANAGER GERMAN SPEAKING (M/F)
THE JOB:
Based in Luxembourg, the Senior Property Accountant will report to the German Controller and will be responsible for the management of a portfolio of companies to produce the financial statements of the Luxembourg Fund and SPVs.
Responsibilities include:
-Reviewing financial reports (monthly / Quarterly / annual) using IFRS for Luxembourg companies that own German real estate through liaison with other business personnel and third-party service providers;
-Involvement with review and preparation efforts of quarterly investor reporting for assigned entities;
-Assist with relevant tax (including German VAT), regulatory and statutory reporting with the support of third-party service providers;
-Liaising with US and EU based External Auditors and completing all necessary reporting and investigation associated with financial reports and address any issues or recommendations raised within the Fund Financials Statements;
-Act as the liaison point for all third-party matters (auditors, tax consultants etc.) and be available to personnel within the relevant business areas to answer and any ad hoc questions or follow-up on matters with the appropriate service;
-Working along with other company staff and external advisors in transactions involving the purchase and sale of German Real Estate Assets;
-Support quarterly real estate valuation processes with external valuer.
-Follow-up with service providers regarding any issues raised until resolution;
-Being in charge of invoices and transactions payments;
-Assist with intercompany financing and external loan draws and lender reporting
-Support with the incorporation of new entities and opening of the bank accounts
-Provide documents to/ liaise with the service delivery center for getting various tasks completed, review and give feedback
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
-2-3 years’ experience within Property Accounting or Audit
-Experience in dealing with Real Estate Funds is a strong advantage
-Solid analytical skills;
-Problem solving oriented approach
-Ability to work independently and proactively when necessary, but must always be a team player;
-Strong work ethic
-Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English. German language skills (B1 or higher) required;
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
-Knowledge of IFRS/ Lux GAAP / Us GAAP is an asset.
