(SENIOR) RISK MANAGER PRIVATE EQUITY/PRIVATE DEBT (M/F)
DO Recruitment Advisors is delighted to recruit on behalf of an European-based AIFM, a (Senior) Risk Manager (m/f). The company is currently managing Private Equity (Fund of Funds and co-investment) and Private Debt strategies (Direct Lending and Infrastructure Debt). The office is composed of 10 people, located in Munsbach and will continue to grow.
THE JOB
- Perform pre-trade analysis of the incoming transactions;
- Perform market conformity checks (using Bloomberg) to validate the pricing fairness of the transactions;
- Follow up waivers/consent requests communicated by Agents from a risk perspective;
- Prepare monthly risk reports to the senior management, investment committee and Board of Directors of the AIFM and to the regulator. Identify potential or actual breaches of the risk limits and compliance of the funds with the risk limits;
- Define at fund launch and/or update the Risk Profiles of the fund at least on an annual basis;
- Monitor operational risks for the AIFs and the AIFM on an ongoing basis;
- Perform liquidity stress test on a yearly basis at fund level;
- Participate to the monthly valuation committee, contribute to the valuation committee minutes;
- Oversight the valuation of the PE Fund of Funds and cross-investments on a quarterly basis;
- Support the production of the Annex IV (AIFMD) report;
- Perform annual review of the Private Debt deals based on year-end audited financial statements, challenge rating assessments, incorporate operational elements from O&M and/or EPC contractors;
- Produce regularly short market outlooks on direct lending, infrastructure debt and private equity;
- Support the internal & external audit process of the funds;
- Assist in the analysis and implementation of regulatory changes (CSSF Circulars, AIFMD, ESMA guidelines) and support the Conducting Officer in his daily work.
- Co-ordinate exchange of information between the administrators, delegated portfolio managers, investment advisors, depositaries, etc.;
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Academic degree in finance, economics, mathematics or equivalent
- Professional qualifications (CAIA, CFA, FRM) would be considered an advantage;
- At least 2 to 5 years of related experience in Luxembourg fund services industry in risk management. Debt Funds/Private Equity and Luxembourg fund familiarities are required;
- Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English, good command of German or French would be an asset;
- Able to work independently with strong organisation skills;
- Knowledgeable of risks related to financial instruments, financial analysis, financial mathematics, statistics and modelling techniques;
- Analytical mindset, logical thinking and ability to understand technical and legal subjects;
- Good level in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access) and Bloomberg.
