FINANCE MANAGER (M/F)
Our client is seeking to appoint a full-time Finance Manager to lead the finance and administrative functions of a small Luxembourg-based group of companies. The Finance Manager will hold a statutory board position in each group company and will coordinate closely with shareholders and the companies’ external advisors, who are predominantly based in London.
THE ROLE
1. Finance Leadership
·Lead finance operations for all companies: budgeting, reporting, cash management, and forecasting.
·Implement robust systems and processes with the in-house finance team.
·Supervise statutory accounts and audit processes under Lux GAAP.
·Present insightful analytical reporting to board and shareholders.
·Manage treasury, banks, and intercompany funding.
·Ensure financial compliance and statutory reporting across the affiliate entities.
·Coordinate with fiduciaries and advisors on tax and legal matters.
·Prepare consolidated reporting to support group-wide decisions.
2. Board Role & Governance
·Serve as statutory board member across all companies.
·Maintain corporate registers, support governance, and prepare board materials and minutes.
·Ensure controls, risk management, and reporting standards are upheld.
3. Team Management & Development
·Supervise one in-house accountant managing daily operations.
·Oversee the recruitment of a junior finance/admin support role as growth dictates.
·Ensure effective delegation and process continuity across finance tasks.
4. Administrative & Operational Oversight
·Manage relationships with fiduciaries, auditors, legal counsel, and banks.
·Oversee insurance, contracts, compliance calendars, and timely filings.
·Drive improvements in administrative efficiency and internal controls.
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
·Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent).
·8-12+ years of finance experience, including Financial Controller-level duties.
·Strong technical knowledge of Lux GAAP; IFRS beneficial.
·Holding company, fiduciary, or investment-entity experience.
·Demonstrated team management experience.
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
·Fluent in English. French, German or Polish advantageous.
·Experienced in working independently with minimal oversight.
