FUND LEGAL COUNSEL, LUXEMBOURG (M/F)
THE JOB:
DO RECRUITMENT ADVISORS is proud to represent their client, an international asset manager in their search of a legal function responsible for product-related matters across jurisdictions. Based in Luxembourg the candidate will be a member of a truly multicultural and multilingual Legal & Governance Operations Team of 2 people locally, 13 overall.
The legal Counsel joins this team of legal experts and will be in charge of setting up investment funds, handling the legal aspects of Business of a UCITS Management company and an AIFM under the supervision of the CSSF, and distributing its funds cross-border.
The role supports timely product launches by handling legal and regulatory documentation, maintaining the legal soundness of the product universe, and providing legal services to a cross-border fund management business.
Main tasks include:
-Provide legal support for product-related matters across jurisdictions.
-Manage legal and regulatory documentation to enable timely product launches.
-Ensure the continuous legal soundness of the organisation’s fund product universe.
-Deliver legal advisory on issues arising from the management and lifecycle of UCITS and AIF funds.
-Monitor, assess, and support the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
-Handle recurring legal tasks, including reporting and other periodic assignments.
-Operate from Luxembourg and report to the head of the legal function.
-Work within an international team of fund-law specialists.
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
-Master’s degree in law.
-Experience (+3 years) in an asset management industry and/or law firm or a consulting company. In particular you have experience working in Luxembourg Fund industry.
-Good knowledge of the Luxembourg legal and regulatory environment with a good track record in interacting with the CSSF on UCITS fund related matters.
-Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a good collaborative way.
-Strong interpersonal skills.
-Fluent in English and preferably also French or German or Danish.
-Able to work independently and collaboratively, adaptable to international and evolving environments
