FUND MANAGER (M/F)  PRIVATE EQUITY BOUTIQUE
 
THE ROLE :
DO Recruitment Advisors is delighted to recruit a Fund Manager for a leading European Private Equity firm with a diverse portfolio of investments across various markets.
Reporting to the Conducting Officers, the Fund Manager will oversee the day-to-day management and administration of the Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and actively contribute to the portfolio management activities of the AIFM.
The Fund Manager will be part of the Luxembourg Fund Administration team within the AIFM, collaborating closely with the Corporate and SPV departments in Luxembourg, as well as with Investment Professionals, while maintaining close interaction with the London office. »
The main responsibilities:
– Set up and management of complex fund structure
– Daily supervision, administration and management of the AIF and the Feeder entities managed by the AIFM
– Participate to bi-weekly business development meetings (« BDM ») across the respective investment strategies
– Participate in the arrangements for taking investment and divestment decisions on behalf of the AIFs and their formalisation
– Key interaction with deal teams – tracking investments (deal pipeline, acquisitions / exits / add-ons)
– Monitoring of the AIFs’ investment performance and compliance with investment policies and risk limits
– Oversight on the AIFs and Feeders bookkeeping, NAV calculation and annual accounts
– Sign off on Quarterly Investor Reporting (Capital Accounts/ Valuations) and distribute reports to investors via the reporting platform
– Oversight on the transfer agent activities of the AIFM – Liquidity management of the AIFs, sign off of Investment Drawdown/ Distribution notifications
– Carry out regulatory reporting to the CSSF and any other jurisdictions
– Prepare quarterly as well as ad-hoc reporting to the Conducting Officers and the AIFM Board
– Oversight over investor queries treatment
– Coordination role with depositary, auditors, banks and other stakeholders
– Involvement in AML/KYC due diligence measures as a first line of defense
– Coordinate transactions and flow through to LuxCo / SPV team
– Involvement in tax reporting
– Participating in the improvement of processes and procedures to ensure high level of controls are maintained
– Supportive role in building relationships with Investors
 
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE :
The ideal candidate should have :
– University degree in Finance or equivalent educational background
– At least 7 years’ relevant experience acquired in one or more of the field below: o Portfolio Management o Fund Administration of Alternative Investment – Funds o A Private Equity o Audit in a Big4 in the Alternatives sector (mostly in PE), at least having completed a first-year as a manager o A service provider of alternative investment companies
– Accounting Qualification (in depth knowledge of Lux GAAP, IFRS/ US GAAP) is advantageous)
– Excellent knowledge of the regulatory framework regarding alternative investment funds (AIFMD)
– Transparent and personable, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
– Financially literate and analytical
– Ability and experience in writing memos and reports
– Excellent planning and organising skills, with the ability to multi-task and self-manage workload
– Ability to manage a small team
– Resilient to pressure
– Fluent in English is required, French /or German would be an asset
– Excellent communication skills
– Committed to the highest quality standards
– Strong team player, with the ability to work in a small team
– Positive, proactive approach
