LOANS OPERATIONS OFFICER- WHOLESALE LENDING
 
THE JOB:
The role is to assist the operations and administration of the day-to-day servicing of wholesale and syndicated loans (rollovers; interest payments; repayments; funding deposits).
-preparation and management of drawdowns, rollovers, interest accruals, fee accruals and payments,
-preparation and management of funding deposits and administration of funding positions,
-data input to the loan systems,
-nostro reconciliation – including control of unmatched / open items related to daily inputs and operations in bank’s systems,
-managing relationships with treasury division, clients and / or participant banks and agent banks,
-payments management & instructions to the respective operations and payments areas,
-monitoring and managing withholding tax (WHT) positions re interest and fees,
-collection of withholding tax certificates
-monitoring and management of receipt of fees and reconciliation of fees discounted over the life of the loan,
-reconciliation of loans and funding positions and investigation of any differences between the lending and accounting systems, and
-Assisting other front office responsibilities including First Line of Defence covering KYC onboarding and screening of all payments – inward and outward.
 
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
-5 years experience in a similar wholesale loans operations / administration role with good knowledge of wholesale lending and related syndication management,
-Understanding of reconciliations processes,
-Experience in reading loan agreements.
-Excellent analytical and problem solving skills,
-Be able to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines,
-Be a team player but also with the ability to work independently,
-Focused and accountable with good communication and people management
-Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package, especially of Excel
-Permanent role within a multi-cultural environment of a dynamic international financial institution with exposure to cross-border financing operations
