PRIVATE BANKING SUPPORT SPECIALIST (M/F)
THE JOB:
As a Private Banking Support Specialist, you will be a key player in assisting our private banking team in delivering exceptional service to high-net-worth (HNWI) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI). Based on prior experience in a front-line support function, particularly in Geneva with institutions like EFG Bank, you will bring valuable expertise in compliance, client servicing, and operational support. You will act as part of the first line of defense, ensuring all processes are compliant, efficient, and client-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
• Client Support:
– Assist private bankers in managing client accounts and relationships.
– Respond to client inquiries, providing timely and accurate information regarding account statuses, transactions, and services.
– Guide clients—often older HNWI/UHNWIs—through the use of digital platforms, including E-banking applications (e.g., explaining functionalities, locating documents).
– Manage client onboarding, AML/KYC documentation, and conduct due diligence checks, verifying identity and accuracy in coordination with the CRM system.
– Ensure that client onboarding and ongoing activity comply with the bank’s risk management and regulatory procedures.
– Support clients during transfers and payment processes, ensuring compliance alignment.
• Administrative Tasks:
– Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings for private bankers.
– Manage calendars, including follow-ups and reminders for client interactions.
– Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for client meetings and internal discussions.
• Transaction Processing:
– Facilitate account transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
– Monitor regulatory compliance and internal policy adherence during all transactions.
– Assist in preparing client proposals and investment portfolio documentation.
• Communication & Coordination:
– Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure their needs are met.
– Collaborate with internal teams (compliance, legal, operations) to resolve client issues.
– Serve as a liaison between the client and various departments, ensuring seamless service delivery.
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
We are seeking a proactive, well-organized professional with a strong background in private banking support and compliance operations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience from a front-line support role and demonstrate a high level of client orientation, particularly in assisting senior HNWIs/UHNWIs with both traditional and digital banking services.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in private banking support, client servicing, or AML/KYC operations, ideally including Swiss banking experience (e.g., Geneva).
• Proven track record working with E-banking platforms and guiding clients through their use.
• Deep understanding of private banking operations, due diligence (AML/CTF), MiFID II regulations, and the role of the first line of defense.
• Experience supporting older clientele and managing sensitive client data with discretion.
• Familiarity with financial instruments, life insurance wrappers, and fund documentation is a plus.
• Fluency in French and English required; knowledge of German or other languages is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Service-driven with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of integrity.
