PRIVATE BANKING SUPPORT SPECIALIST (M/F)
THE JOB:
As a Private Banking Support Specialist, you will play a critical role within the First Line of Defense (FLoD), ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of the Internal Control System in the Private Banking (PB) division, by performing rigorous preventive controls. Under the supervision of the Head of the department, you will carry out a range of tasks that support client relationship officers (CROs), monitor operational and compliance risks, and contribute to internal risk management processes. The position blends operational support, risk oversight, and client servicing to deliver a seamless and compliant private banking experience for high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNW).
Key Responsibilities:
• Advice and support CROs in the preparation of account opening/review files, in order to facilitate the opening/review process.
• Analyze onboarding files and file reviews before submission to Compliance Department
• Execute preventive controls with focus on internal processes and regulatory topics, in line with private banking control framework.
• Monitor the follow-up & resolution of operational alerts.
• Follow-up on feedback provided by Compliance Department.
• Perform additional / ad-hoc reviews as needed.
• Support in enhancing effectiveness and efficiency of private banking control and risk management activities.
• Support private banking risk assessments in coordination with the Second Line of Defence.
• Participate in various front office, operational and risk management projects as requested.
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Law.
• 5 to 7 years of experience with a strong track record in developing in-depth knowledge of the private banking business.
• Deep understanding of private banking business processes, financial instruments, and client lifecycle management.
• Proven expertise in KYC/AML requirements specific to the private banking sector.
• Good grasp of risk management principles, frameworks, and first-line control practices.
• Well-developed analytical and reporting skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong professional ethics combined with the ability to extract and analyze data effectively through data mining techniques.
• Deep understanding of banking and financial regulation (e.g AIFMD, UCITS, MIFID).
• Fluency in French and English required; knowledge of German or other languages is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Service-driven with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of integrity.
