SENIOR ASSOCIATE TAX – FIXED TERM CONTRACT 1 YEAR
THE JOB:
To provide high-quality and responsive tax advisory support to the company and its subsidiaries in respect of investments made in the Asset Classes. The role will focus mainly on European investments providing support minimising the group’s exposure to tax risks whilst maximising the risk adjusted return on Asset Classes.
The Senior Associate will be responsible for:
·providing comprehensive tax support on a variety of transactional matters related to the Asset Classes including on acquisition, restructuring, bank loan refinancing and disposal of assets (including tax structuring and tax due diligence support)
·support on the review of transactional and non-transactional documents ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, and advising on the tax risks and opportunities related to business operations
·in-house advisory and coordination support notably on cash flows throughout the investment life cycle
·support on transfer pricing elements notably related to intra-group financing, including on long-term funding and short-term cash pooling transactions
·monitoring tax developments and advising stakeholders in clear and concise terms to ensure compliance
·working on cross-departmental projects in collaboration notably with the investment teams, operations, and legal division
·support on complex multi-disciplinary transactions and managing external tax counsels efficiently
·review of corporate tax and VAT returns of group entities, and advising on tax reporting obligations
·contributes to the implementation of in-house tax policies and procedures in support of VP Tax
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
·Law degree from reputable university
·Minimum 8 years of experience within a reputable law firm or Big 4 (or reputable asset manager, investment fund, or MNE firms) related to the alternative investment structuring of Asset Classes
·Strong project management, coordination, and communication skills
·Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
