STRATEGY AND PLANNING MANAGER (M/F)

A newly created role at the centre of this global organisation, this position offers the opportunity to work side-by-side with senior leadership to design and monitor the Group’s strategy, analyse growth opportunities, and help steer key cross-border initiatives
 
THE ROLE:

  • Support the Group Director in the corporate strategy development and refresh cycle, ensuring alignment with the Group’s vision and long-term value-creation pillars.
  • Assist in corporate planning processes, including the preparation of strategic performance reports and the monitoring of Group-level KPIs.
  • Conduct analytical work and strategic assessments related to business performance, capital allocation priorities, competitive positioning, and long-term planning scenarios.
  • Prepare high-quality materials for strategy workshops, ExCo strategy discussions, and Board strategy sessions.
  • In collaboration with the Development team, contribute to the assessment of external growth opportunities (acquisitions, divestment, partnerships), otably through market scans, benchmarking, and targeted research.
  • Support collaboration with the Development team to build and maintain the pipeline of global growth opportunities (OECD markets), including geopolitical, regulatory and sector mapping.
  • Maintain project management tools and routines, including dashboards, milestone plans, risk registers, and interdependency maps, to ensure disciplined follow-up on strategic initiatives.

THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics or similar.
  • 3-6 years in Strategy or Management Consulting, ideally with 1-2 of those years in Corporate Development
  • Experience preparing executive quality analysis, presentations in a high-demanding corporate environment. Experience dealing with Senior stakeholders across different time zones is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information clearly
  • Ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement, use initiative, and manage competing priorities. Comfortable operating in a high-performing, fast paced and matrixed organisation
  • Fast learner with strong intellectual curiosity and adaptability.
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent stakeholder-management capabilities  
  • Proficient English (excellent written and verbal communication). French would be considered an advantage.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word). Familiarity with SharePoint and project-management tools such as Asana or Smartsheet
  • Experience with transportation / Infrastructure / Private Equity Investment would be a plus
