AVP – VALUATIONS (M/F)
 
Your primarily responsible will be the review of the valuation of investments of the funds under management.

THE ROLE:
The role will be a key part of the International Finance team in Luxembourg and will report to the
Luxembourg head of Valuation team. Working closely with the other Finance teams globally.

Investments valuation review

  • Reviewing the investment committee memos and calibrations
  • Reviewing the internal valuation materials and the third-party valuation reports
  • Reviewing investment valuation analysis at fund level and documenting the review
  • Ensuring investments portfolio is reconciled with NAV
  • Completing due diligence on valuation teams
  • Ensuring the database is updated with the relevant information resulting from the valuation reviews

Governance and reporting to senior management

  • Valuation framework, policies and procedures: Leading in maintaining and enhancing an effective framework, including strategic updating and reviewing policies and procedures, to align with the latest regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Participating to the new fund onboardings in the context of valuation matters
  • Responsible for the preparation of materials and reports for key stakeholders such as
  • Management Committee and Boards
  • Other ad-hoc projects and general administrative tasks

Team management

  • Transformation and digitalization: Proposing and driving improvements of the valuation processes, enhancement of procedures and processes as well as the use of offshore resources and technology
  • Manage responsibilities and tasks assigned to the offshore consultants
  • Provide individualized coaching and support to team members (analysts/associates) to enhance  their performance and professional development. Foster a culture of continuous learning and  development within the team, encouraging self-reflection and growth. Monitor team  performance, track progress towards goals, and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.

THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar discipline (CFA or CAIA is a plus)
  • +7 years of relevant financial services industry experience (including a prior experience in a Big 4) with good understanding of alternative industry operations
  • Demonstrated expertise in valuation methodologies and practices, combined with strong leadership skills to effectively support the management and organization of the team in a fast paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational and documentation abilities, with a proven capacity to structure workflows, maintain accurate records, and ensure high-quality deliverables across all valuation  projects
  • Knowledge of the local regulatory requirements in relation to AIFM and Luxembourg Funds
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint required, strong appetite to use of technology
  • Analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
  • Team player with resourceful mindset and efficiency-driven
  • Hands-on professional comfortable operating in a small, dynamic team
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative and manage competing priorities to tight reporting deadlines
  • Highly organized, great attention to details and accountability for delivery.
  • Proactive and able to suggest new efficient solutions
