EXPERIENCED GENERAL LEDGER SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (M/F)
DO Recruitment Advisors is delighted to assist our client, a multinational Company, in the recruitment of an Experienced General Ledger Accountant for its Luxembourg office.
This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to join the corporate office of a well-known US company.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the General Ledger Accountant will be part of a team of 5 people, responsible for the whole general ledger activities and will ensure the timely and accurate preparation and control of balance sheet.
THE JOB :
-Responsible for all general ledger activities and month end closing process.
-Control of the Balance sheet and P&L accounts before submitting the month end trial balance.
-Responsibility to ensure that the accounts analysis is done at month end that all the variances are explained, and reports are submitted to the US in a timely manner.
-Responsibility to ensure that all general ledger balance sheet accounts are reconciled and signed, and the checklist is sent promptly to the US.
-Responsible for the timely submission of the VAT returns.
-Responsibility to ensure that all the SOX controls are performed adequately.
-Assist for the year end audit.
-Provision of assistance and support to the Finance Manager as required.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to strict deadlines
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE :
-The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
-Fluency in English is required, other languages such as French and/or Polish/Dutch would be a plus.
-At least 2-3 years of working experience in Audit/General Accounting (big 4 preferable).
-Possess a financial Degree or Similar accounting CPA.
-Previous experience with a strong knowledge in external or internal audit in an International/Multi-national company would be beneficial, preferably with a US parent.
-Knowledge of US GAAP/Lux GAAP.
-Used to adhering to tight reporting deadlines,
-Demonstrates an organized and structured approach.
-Experience in a transportation or import /export activity would be of advantage.
-Highly computer literate, with confident knowledge of Excel / Word and preferably Oracle
-Communicative, dynamic and team-work oriented personality, with a strong team spirit
THE CLIENT:
Our Client is a multinational Company, with their financial centre based in Luxembourg.
At the final stages of the recruitment process, some of our clients could ask the successful candidate to provide supporting documentation such as, for example, copies of diplomas or proof of previous jobs, and a standard criminal record check might also be requested.
