FUND ACCOUNTANT – PRIVATE EQUITY FIRM (M/F)
THE JOB:
Reporting to the Senior Managers, the Fund Accountant is involved in the accounting and administration of the Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), the Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) and the corporate investment entities (SPVs). The Luxembourg Fund Administration team work closely with all investment professionals and also interact with the London office.
Your main responsibilities:
Fund Accounting & Reporting
- Carry out the accounting of the AIFs and other investment vehicles
- Set up and management of complex fund structures including master holdcos in the accounting and reporting software Investran
- Capital calls and distributions, investment and NAV calculation
- Prepare management fee calculation, carried interest calculations, capital calls and distribution files
- Interaction with the London team on Valuations / updates of investment activity
- Prepare and distribution of Quarterly reporting to LP investors, capital calls, distributions
- Prepare tax compliance, investor tax reporting, and related filings
- Carry out monthly cash reporting and cash management
Investment Support & Transaction Oversight
- Participate in the implementation and/or exit of participations held within the Luxembourg structure
Governance & Controls
- Provide support in the administration of the AIFs and the SPVs – Carry out compliance work and reconciliation of registers
- Participate in the improvement of processes and procedures to ensure high level of controls are maintained
Stakeholder Management
- Follow up investors queries
- Reporting to the CSSF
- Liaise with professional service providers: Depositary, auditors, banks and tax advisors
- Supportive role in building relationships with Investors
- Prepare internal reporting to the management and the board of the Luxembourg AIFM and the London head office
- Support the Fund Managers and Conducting Officers
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- University degree or equivalent education background in Accounting or Finance
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience acquired in the field of Fund Accounting of Private Equity Funds or audit of PE structures in Big 4
- Good knowledge of Lux GAAP Accounting
- Knowledge of Investran software would be an asset – Professional qualification in Accounting would be an asset
- Financially literate and analytical, with advanced Excel proficiency
- Strong team player, with the ability to work in a small team
- Positive, proactive approach
- Resilient to pressure, flexible, proactive, quality-focused and able to multi-task
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English is required, French would be an asset
