IT DESKTOP SUPPORT ENGINEER (M/F)

THE JOB:
DO Recruitment is delighted to assist its client, an investment bank in the recruitment of an IT Desktop Support Engineer who will report to the Head of User Service, based in London.
-Support the local staff with various IT matters and troubleshooting cases.
-With the remote support of the team in London, assist the local management with moving the office location in terms of infrastructure and appropriate IT setup.
-Advice and support the local staff on IT new systems and/or software.
-Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
-Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
-Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
-Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, permissions, and passwords in accordance with company policies.
-Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure security and data integrity.
-Document and track support requests and resolutions using the company’s ticketing system.
-Collaborate with other IT team members to address and resolve complex technical problems.
-Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices and IT policies.
-Maintain an inventory of IT assets and manage equipment procurement as needed.
-Participate in IT projects and initiatives to improve system performance and user experience.

THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
-Administration/Connection of Video Conferencing systems, Cisco, Teams, Webex etc.
-Ability to troubleshoot/maintain PC hardware.
-Excellent desktop applications troubleshooting Skills.
-Excellent client-facing skills / strong client and service orientation.
-Troubleshoot Office application and O365.
-Printer support (Hardware & server).
-Exposure to Windows Server 2019 and 2022.
-Knowledge of Exchange, Office 365, Windows 10, MS Teams, Azure, Onedrive.
-Experience in building and deploying Desktops and Laptops using WDS, MDT SCCM or similar.
-Understand NTFS & Share permissions. Giving users access to folders on the network.
-Supporting user needs related to desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and the like for both in office or in teleworking.
-Create users and device profile on Cisco CUCM for desktop phones.
-Troubleshooting networking and connection issues.
-Install and support end user devices over the phone, remotely, and in-person.

THE CLIENT:
Our client is an international investment bank located, which will be soon located in the city center of Luxembourg.

At the final stages of the recruitment process, the successful candidate can be asked to provide supporting documentation such as, for example, copies of diplomas or proof of previous jobs, and a standard criminal record check might also be requested.
