JUNIOR FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER BELUX
THE JOB :
Supporting the Head of Finance Business Partnering for the respective Commercial Unit in all financial matters relating to the Commercial Units in Belgium and Luxembourg
Working closely with local sales and marketing teams as a trusted sparring partner – including providing well-founded financial analyses and recommendations for action
Participation in the preparation of forecasts, reports, plans and scenarios for the sound management of the business units
Preparation of decision papers and business analyses to support the management
Independent identification of financial challenges and active participation in the development of practical solutions
Supporting the implementation of Group-wide financial projects and liaising with external partners such as auditors and consultants
Maintaining and expanding interfaces with internal departments such as Finance Pooles Services, FP&A and Finance & Taxation
Carrying out report analyses, assessing opportunities and risks and supporting the preparation of planning documents
Monitoring the financial performance of the Commercial Unit, identifying deviations from plan/forecast and supporting the improvement of the gross margin through pricing strategies, portfolio optimisation and efficient promotions
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE :
Degree in business administration, ideally with a focus on finance, controlling or a comparable qualification
First practical experience in finance, ideally in an international or FMCG environment
Analytical thinking, strong business acumen and a good understanding of financial relationships, processes and planning tools
Confident handling of MS Office or Google Workspace; Initial experience with SAP S/4HANA and BI tools an advantage
Strong communication & presentation skills and the ability to prepare financial content in a way that is appropriate for the target audience and convey it convincingly
Proactive, solution-oriented way of working with a “can-do” mentality, team spirit and the ambition to advance even complex topics in the interests of the company as a whole
Very good written and spoken English and French skills are required; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
