SENIOR PRODUCT SPECIALIST
THE JOB:
The Senior Product Specialist will sit within a newly established and strategically important Product function. The role is both technical and commercial, requiring strong product structuring expertise, legal/regulatory fluency, and the interpersonal skills to support distribution teams in front of clients.
This person will coordinate product approvals, develop product roadmaps, assess commercial viability, and ensure products are well positioned across various distribution channels (institutional, wealth, private banks, and intermediaries). They will also contribute to market intelligence, pricing analysis, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Product Approvals & Structuring
Support the creation, approval, and enhancement of credit investment products across multiple fund structures
Coordinate the full product approval process, ensuring alignment between investment, legal, risk, compliance, operations, and sales.
Develop and maintain the product roadmap, tracking new launches, enhancements, upgrades, and regulatory milestones.
Draft, review, and refine product documentation.
Act as the bridge between product development, investments, legal, compliance, operations, and client-facing teams.
2. Distribution & Commercial Positioning
Ensure product readiness across relevant distribution channels and Partnerships
Prepare pricing analyses, margin modelling, competitor benchmarking, and cost/revenue projections to support distribution strategy.
Collaborate with the global distribution team to tailor product messaging and positioning for different investor segments.
Accompany relationship managers and sales teams in client meetings to provide product expertise and answer technical/legal questions.
Product Governance and Monitoring (including fundraising progress, performance development and cost control) as well as Product Committee facilitation
Support Partnership developments
3. Market Insight, Data & Operational Improvements
Drive market intelligence initiatives: competitor analysis, regulatory developments, pricing trends, product mapping.
Lead data-driven initiatives to optimise product costs, improve operational processes, and drive margin efficiency.
4. Product Strategy contribution for Clearlake Credit Europe
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- 8-12 years’ experience in private markets (particularly in private and structured credit, private equity and infrastructure expertise considered a strong asset), product management, product design & development, or legal/regulatory roles within an asset manager, AIFM, or investment platform.
- Strong legal or regulatory background.
- Proven experience working on or with distribution teams and comfort in client-facing activities.
- Knowledge of Luxembourg alternative fund structures and European distribution frameworks
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to assess product viability, margins, and differentiation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for client audiences.
- Strong analytical skills, including cost/margin modelling and data-driven decision-making.
- Highly collaborative, proactive, and comfortable influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Self starter, hands on, entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to build processes within a newly formed team.
