ACCOUNTING MANAGER – IFRS/CONSOLIDATION (M/F)
THE JOB:
Our client is seeking to hire an Accounting Manager (Manager) based in Luxembourg, reporting to the Fund Controller. The Manager will be responsible for the managing a portfolio of companies and producing financial statements of the Luxembourg Fund and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs).
Responsibilities:
-Review consolidated financial reports (monthly / quarterly / annually) using IFRS for European group companies by liaising with other Finance hubs, business personnel, and third-party service providers.
-Assist with the review and preparation of quarterly investor reporting for assigned Funds.
-Assist with relevant tax, regulatory and statutory reporting with the support of third-party service providers.
-Liaise with US and EU-based External Auditors to complete all necessary reporting and investigation associated with financial reports and address any issues or recommendations raised within the Fund Financials Statements.
-Act as internal point of contact for third-party matters (auditors, tax consultants etc.) to answer any questions within relevant business area and help with ad hoc requests as needed, ensuring relevant information is provided in a timely fashion.
-Partner closely with staff and external advisors throughout the transaction process, including the purchase or sale of Real Estate Assets.
-Perform key controls on the NAV and IRR production process via reviews of data provided by the Fund Administrator and extracted from appropriate sources, investigating potential risks identified.
-Assist with invoice approvals and transaction payments.
-Producing internal reporting on European funds as required by executive teams.
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
-3-5 years’ experience within Fund Accounting or Audit.
-Consolidation experience required.
-Experience in dealing with Real Estate Funds strongly preferred.
-ACCA certified or similar, strongly preferred.
-Knowledge of Lux GAAP / US GAAP preferred
-Ability to think critically and solve complex problems
-Ability to work independently and proactively, when necessary, but must always be a team player
-Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English, German language strongly preferred.
