SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL, LUXEMBOURG (M/F)
THE JOB :
Based in Luxembourg the candidate will be a member of a truly multicultural and multilingual Legal & Governance Operations Team of 4 people locally, 23 overall.
The Senior legal Counsel joins this team of legal experts and will be in charge of setting up investment funds, handling the legal aspects of Business of a UCITS Management company and an AIFM under the supervision of the CSSF, and distributing its funds cross-border.
The responsibilities will include:
• Leading, coordinating and/or participating in projects and initiatives from legal and regulatory perspective, with main focus on product and service development activities.
• Interacting closely with stakeholders in Governance and other business units as well as external advisors and regulators.
• Drafting legal documentation such as prospectuses, contracts and board resolutions and further developing related processes.
• Coordinating and handling regulatory filings.
• Providing legal advice and support on various topics creating legal solutions securing the company lives up to various regulatory requirements.
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE:
• University degree in Law or similar professional qualification.
• Experience (+5 years) in an asset management industry and/or law firm or a consulting company. In particular you have experience working in Luxembourg Fund industry (+3 years).
• Extensive knowledge of the Luxembourg legal and regulatory environment with a good track record in interacting with the CSSF on fund related matters.
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a good collaborative way.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and preferably also French or German.
